Privacy policy
Plain English, no defined-terms section. DelayAtlas is a static website: there is no account to create, no form to submit, and no database holding anything about you. What follows describes the small amount of data that does move, and who moves it.
1
What this site collects directly
Nothing. Every page is a file served from a web server. There is no login, no newsletter, no comment system and no contact form. The site itself sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
The search box on the homepage and compare page runs entirely inside your browser, against a list of routes and airports the page already downloaded. What you type is never sent anywhere, logged, or seen by anyone.
2
Server logs
The web server records ordinary access logs: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer and user agent. This is how any web server works and is necessary to operate the site and to identify abuse.
These logs are not used to build profiles, are not combined with any other data, and are not shared with anyone. They are retained briefly and then rotated out.
3
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit and which pages they read. Being specific about what that involves matters more than reassuring language, so:
- It sets cookies in your browser, including a randomly generated identifier that lets Google recognise the same browser across visits.
- It sends Google your IP address, the page you are on, the page that referred you, your approximate location derived from that IP, and your device, browser and language. IP anonymisation is enabled, which means Google truncates the address before storing it.
- Google processes this data as a service provider and may use it for its own purposes under its own terms. This site sees only aggregate reports and never a list of individual visitors.
- This site does not upload anything about you to Google, sets no user identifier of its own, and has no advertising features or audience export enabled.
Google Consent Mode is off on this site, so analytics cookies are set on arrival. This is intended for a US audience; if you are reading from the EEA or the UK, use the opt-out below.
To opt out entirely, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block the domain googletagmanager.com. Nothing on this site breaks if you do; the pages are static files and the analytics tag is the only script on them.
4
Advertising
No advertising is currently served on this site, and no advertising scripts are loaded. When advertising is enabled, this section will describe the network used and the cookie behaviour before the first ad appears, and a consent prompt will be shown where one is legally required.
5
Third parties and embedded content
Fonts and images are served from this site's own domain. Nothing is hotlinked from a content delivery network.
The only third parties your browser contacts when loading a page are Google Analytics, described in the sections above. There are no others.
There are no social media widgets, no embedded video, no tag manager and no session recording. External links in guides point at government sites and airline policy pages; once you follow one, that site's own policy applies.
6
Your rights under US state privacy laws
Several US states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and Texas, give residents rights over personal information collected about them: to know what is held, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising.
This site operates no database and holds no personal information about you directly. It does, however, direct your browser to Google Analytics, and the identifier and IP-derived data described in section 3 are processed by Google. Requests about that data can be made to this site or to Google.
This site does not sell personal information and has never done so. It runs no advertising features in Analytics, exports no audiences, and shares nothing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Where advertising cookies are in use, the opt-out that matters is the advertising network's, since the network rather than this site holds the profile. The Google links in section 4 are the direct route. You may also send any privacy request to kaantokali1@gmail.com and it will be answered, including a confirmation that nothing is held.
7
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since it collects nothing from anyone, this is a statement of fact rather than a policy.
8
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Enabling analytics or advertising counts as a material change and will be reflected here before either is switched on.
Questions go to kaantokali1@gmail.com. The terms of use cover what the site does and does not promise about its figures.
